  • Stress-Proof Your Life and Go Shopping!

Bless are the days that I get to unwind, detoxify and shop! In this stressful day and age, I get to value more my relationship with my love ones, with nature, with myself and with our Holy Creator. I get to have more 'me time', and adjust to the complicated differences of being man and wife.

I don't understand why men don't get it that some things are comparable with shopping. It is a women's therapy. Buy us some luxurious jewellery and we'll be smiling at you forever. If you are not sure about the shoe size and what we favour for in style, don't get us a flat loafers that would go to waste and might be a source of jealousy just because your female friend likes it. And lastly, you must have been misinformed that we'll stop shopping when our dresser gets all tangled up with all those clothes. What about spring, summer, autumn and winter fashion that we are looking forward to every year? 'I always run out of clothes to wear' is your most hated lines ever, but I do mean it, so will you help me shop?

Some things get better with communications and generosity. lol.

  • Our Wedding Album is Out... Finally!

I had to make a massive follow-up with our Photographer - Videographer supplier to rush their pending output before our Mid-year Anniversary hit. I'm going mad after hearing that they have already processed January - March couples and that we were left behind.

And finally last week we were able to got hold of our edited wedding video, our choice of framed blow-up photo, huge leather wedding photo album and 2 mini - parents album.

I don't have a photo of how huge the album is but I'm betting its about 5 kg in weight. Here's the lay-out for your viewing pleasure. We did request to change a few things though, since this is the first lay-out Niceprint sent to us.

It was such a lovely day that we still smile every time we watched the video or flip the album's page for the nth time. I still feel grateful to all the people who have taken part of our union and to HIM for all the blessings.

I still have issues and pain to let go, but I'm sure everything will be alright in time.

  • A Gold Investment

During my stay in Dubai, I was able to learn how gold coins can be of great investment. I read that it is even better than investing money in bank. If only I had time to look more deeply on how gold coins fair into the market and the pros involve, I might have decided to buy gold coins and keep it for future need. I did save to buy gold jewelries though but it will be a bit sad to let them go if the need arises.

Now I chanced upon this website which makes buying gold coins easy and convenient.  It offers various information about gold investment and current market prices. An all in one resource of information to finally buy gold bullion for the first time. A free gold guide wouldn't hurt a first timer.

Chinese Gold Panda Coin catches my eyes the most and it is pretty expensive. Did you know that the usual trend of inflation which weakens our paper currency is one reason for a gold price to rise? A pretty good investment is especially helpful during this economic crisis.

  • Our Home Project

We stepped into our new and nearly bare house January this year. The bathroom was not even done yet when we move in, but we wanted to start our married life in our own blissful little home.

We are truly thankful to our family, relatives and friends who gifted us something essential to build our home project. Every pieces in our home have always remind us of someone close to our heart.

F sent me photos on October 2008 when they started renovating the apartment. The roof was changed, applied new paint, extended the room area and a lot of things were done.

Came December we bought floor tiles and had it installed before we moved in.

January was a chaos, as we moved in majority of our stuff. It was also the time where we have to decide what furniture to buy, what colors should be prominent around the house, what goes well with each piece, and a whole bunch of stuff.

It was like puzzle pieces that we put together. Some are perfectly fit together, some still missing.

    Wellington Dining Set

Our newest purchase is a Wellington Dining Set from Stephanie Trading. Scored it at 25% off from mall price. Isn't it beautiful? It is a four seater table with stools that are slightly curved and roomy enough to accommodate fat b*tt.

Another piece I love is our day bed. I was dying to have one from Ikea, as far as thinking to ship an item from Hong Kong. But alas, we found an alternative here at a more cheaper price.

I fell inlove with daybeds at first glance. It seemed to be the perfect couch for relaxing and watching movies, plus it is spacious that we can put a tray stand on it whenever I am working on my laptop. Pull in a lot of pillows and we have a cozy couch.

I had it spray painted with black to contrast with the walls. But since our next project will be repainting the walls, I'm thinking it will be nice to color the rails with bronze or gold. What do you think?

Our shelvings and some of our furniture are personalized and handcrafted by my husband's relative, Kuya Carlo. When we needed a modern shoe rack, we showed him the design we like and presto, he created one for us.

These are just some of the projects we made for our little home. Looking forward for more.

  • Home Theatre Experience

F & I were checking out Home Theater stuff last weekend. He is wishing for a huge flat screen television that is way out of budget. A lazy boy couch must go with it too. It will be nice to install in a
Direct TV Package to complete the experience and voila, we'll be couch potato forever.

Directv System has ultimate packages for premium movie channels and sports networks. A good investment for all movie buffs and sports enthusiasts. I'm tired of our old cable provider with only limited channels to offer, I wonder how we can get hold of the Direct TV Service?

With High definition channels, we can get a more defined quality sound and picture that makes viewing pleasurable. But, in the meantime, we will be spending quality time outside with popcorns & movie nights. A little shopping wouldn't hurt too.

  • Our Unique & Personalized Table Names

Wooahh, it's been a month since my last post. And my Page Rank is finally back. I'm a happy bee so I'd like to update my blog by showing you a fun and personalized idea we had for our table names during our wedding. I'd like to veer away with the usual table numbers.

Three weeks before our wedding, we headed to Boracay for some R & R and our own photo session. I knew that we needed as much photos for our wedding stuff, but by then, I still had no idea where to put them. We also had a prenuptial shoot with Niceprint Photo barely 2 weeks before the wedding. We also had great photos taken from Caleruega during my first visit there.

The dilemma of putting out a personalized wedding was never easy. We had to go through sleepless nights, the rush of going here and there, and putting up with our ballooning expenses. As much as I wanted some more beautiful things to incorporate, we had to do some DIO (do-it-ourselves) stuff to save. Here is one of them:

[Click the thumb to see bigger size]

From our collection of photos, we selected 20 to be placed on each table. I cropped and did some magic in photoshop. :) The words translate to terms of endearment in Filipino language, eg. Mahal means love, Sinta means dear, Iniibig means beloved, kabiyak means better-half. We printed two copies, while my husband's family did the trick on putting it side by side on a covered stick. Here it is on one of the tables:

We heard a lot of praises for this effort. Some of our guests even took them home for souvenir. And the most touching story I heard was when my husband's niece even flaunted our flag-like table name the next day at the mall. She was like a beaming fan campaigning for our love story. awwww.
